Bob Mowls our company clerk clerk was famous for being able to "zone out" when things got crazy.

MSgt William Connors on the right in the lawn chair. I have always wanted to know more about him. He was quite a soldier.

Nha Trang Concert again. In spite of the city being mostly peaceful all those windows made me feel like a sitting duck.

The band in what I think was a change of command parade at Tuy Hoa AFB.

The parade at Tuy Hoa AFB again. This job showed what type of guy CWO Arthur Durham was. I'd been Charge of Quarters the night before and had some excitement. Exhausted the next morning I forgot my instrument. His reaction was, "You've got your weapon, right?" Me, "Yes, sir." Durham, "Well, guard the bus Lathan." That was the end of it!

The radio tower that was built right next to the bunker we built. I guess "they" figured Charlie needed the light on top for an aimming point..

The band riding a duece and a half. I think we were coming back from a job a Mary Lou but I'm not sure. The background appears to be the area just outside Camp Enari's north gate

Sand bagging. I'm not sure what this project was.

Our shower being filled with water.

Simmons on the left, who I don't remember, but the slide had his name. He may have been from an outfit called Decon whatever that was. Gene Horner is on the right. They were working on the big bunker project.

"Six Fingers", whose real name I never knew. She had six fingers on each hand. She worked in the mess hall. Two local ladies worked in the mess hall this lady and one who went by Susie. They took some of the work load off of the cooks and KPs who feed a bunch more people than would be normal for crew their size.

SPC4 Weaver on right. I'm not sure of the other guy.

SSgt Gordon Carpenter. Behind him is 4th Inf. Div. Headquarters. He was processing out... heading home. "Bubbles" was a nice guy.

Stan Lindquist practicing baritone sax. Stan lives in the NYC area according to Yahoo People. His name appears on several jazz CDs as the bari man. That was a few years ago. I don't know if he still plays or not. I have never managed to make a hook up after getting out of the Army.

Phill Stanger cutting up for the camera. The location maybe Nha Trang.

Stan Tekielak. I shot these photos at his request. I can't remember the reason.

Stan Tekielak cleaning rifle. Tekielak came to the band from an infantry "line" outfit.

Support Command Headquarters from our barracks. The band was part of 4th Inf. Div. Support Command's Headquarters Company. Support Command was also known as DISCOM.

Susie one of the mess hall employee mentioned above.

Takielak and an unknown. I think the guy was new when I was leaving. I don't remember his name.

This is a three quarter ton truck after hitting a mine. I think the truck was coming or going to the Fortified Montinard Village when it was hit.

Tony Pesce, Joel Babione and Gene Horner in our barracks.

Micheal Gaspar Touchette. Playing the guitar. Touchette was a Canadian citizen serving in the U.S. Army.

Gaspar Touchette driving HQ24 (not the one hit by the mine. Amongst his duties waa picking up the mail so his truck became the "Mail Truck".

The track repair shop on Camp Enari. It was across the road just south of our compay area.
